Being a Domo

Domo is a fairly new and common term. It is short for dog mom. Personally, there is a lot more controversy about this than there should be. I think it’s quite funny.

It’s not like Domo’s are hurting anyone. I’m a Domo myself and I just like to mind my own business. Some people claim that this isn’t real parenting and that we shouldn’t call ourselves this. However, some don’t realize how much a Domo actually does. Some dogs require special care. Some Domo’s take their dogs everywhere.

I’ve had to take steps for my health and my dogs health. Both of us have anxiety and my dog has severe separation anxiety when she isn’t with me. So we are getting everything ready for her to be my ESA (Emotional Support Animal).

Still, she is  like a child to me. I feed her everyday. I brush her and give her coconut oil. She sleeps with us, (and let me tell you, she is a pillow thief!) Some people can never have children and dogs can be like children to people. Some people have children and dogs, but they are all children in their eyes. Dogs are so much a part of families now a days.

It’s not like domo’s are asking for child support or welfare for their dogs. Unless they are actually causing harm to people, then I see no reason why they can’t refer to their dogs as their own children.

Everyone, of course, is entitled to their own opinions. We must RESPECT each other’s opinions and if we don’t agree and their is no harm in the opinion, then mind your own beez-wax! I’m sure a lot of us heard that growing up.

So, whether you see your dog as your child or a pet…just love them…and BE KIND to each other. 🙂

The top picture is when I had to be away from my dog for a while and I first picked her up again. She was as happy to see me as I was to see her!

The bottom picture is just her smiling in front of the fan (We have an AC now, thank goodness!)

Good Morning, Lovely World!

Today is the 5th of November. Remember, remember, the 5th of November. Props to anyone who knows that!

Anyway, I’m sorry I’ve been away for a while! I have a good excuse though! I’ve had a lot of personal things going on AND I’ve been pretty sick. I’m finally starting to feel better, so things are looking up! Hopefully I will have this blog up and running again in 2 weeks or less. Who knows!

I hope everyone is doing well.

As we approach my favorite holidays this season, I want to make a couple challenges if I can. Just to keep in the spirit of the holidays. I’ll try to keep them short. I don’t have one today really. Just try to think of 5 things you are thankful for today! Simple enough, yea? Thought so!

Haha Normally November 1st I start playing the Christmas music. I didn’t this year because of being sick and the other things going on. However this morning, I’ve been enjoying some Christmas music while I enjoy my yummy breakfast. Strawberry yogurt and a Banana! Can someone say yum??? Is anyone else listening to Christmas music already? Don’t worry, I save the decorating until after Christmas 😉

Well that’s about it for now. I’m going to finish breakfast, do some yoga, and some cleaning if I’m feeling up to it.

Sorry for not Posting

Hope to post something again soon, but I’ve been feeling pretty unwell this week. Have an appt later this month so hopefully we can get things figured out. So please bare with me. I will try to post as often as I can though. Still trying to smile and be positive even through the pain because life is still good! 

I believe in the rainbow after the storm! I shall get through this too. For anyone else with any kind of ailment, I hope you feel better and get some relief soon! 

Night all! I’m going to try to get some rest if the pain will stay away. 🙂 Sweet dreams to all!

Also, extra symptom. Anyone have any advice on how to deal with indigestion? Like above my belly button. Tips would be great.



Hello! Challenge for Today!

Hello hello. I’m so sorry I’ve been gone for a long time. I haven’t been sure what to write.

Today I have a little challenge for each of you and please feel free to share it with friends!

I challenge you to do at least 2 of the following list of things! Maybe you can even try to do some of these every day. It might just make the world a bit of a happier place!

1. Do something for yourself. Anything that makes you happy, even if it’s just for 5 minutes.

2. Smile, it’s contagious! Even if you don’t feel like it. Try to smile and see what happens around you.

3. Try to make someone else smile! You never know how much a kind deed or a kind word can really affect someone. Take the time to do something nice for someone.

4. Sharing is caring! So why don’t you share something with someone today. A hug to a friend or family who needs it. Share a cookie or snack. Share something that would make someone else happy!

5. Drink 8 glasses of water and do some kind of exercise! It’s not only good for your body but can boost your mood and self esteem. Just feeling happy and good about yourself can make your day better by giving you a more positive out look on things.


These are small and pretty simple tasks! Even if you can only do one, it will still make a difference. If we want the world to be a better place it starts with us! Doing kind random acts, taking care of ourselves properly, and other little things all add up! So let’s make today another wonderful day, shall we?
